Write, as detailed as possible, the recipe for a traditional food from your country/region
The name of traditional food in Romania is “sarmale”. This food can be said in English like “roll cabbage”, “stuffed cabbage”, “mince meat rolls” or “grape leaf rolls”.
This traditional food is made from cabbage leaves filled with rice and meat.
Recipe
- Acre cabbage (sauerkraut) – 1 kg
- Mincemeat (pork and beef) – 500 g
- One onion
- Rice – a cup
- Tomato paste – one spoon
- Salt
- Pepper
How it’s made
- Cut the acre cabbage leaves (sauerkraut) and put it on the table, one by one;
- Anneal the onion;
- Put the mincemeat, rice, anneal onion and pepper, together and knead it;
- Take this composition in your hand and enshroud it with acre cabbage levels;
- Put all the mince meat rolls in a Romanian traditional chatty or saucepan over a tier of hacked acre cabbage;
- Finally, when you finish all mince meat rolls put another tier of hacked acre cabbage;
- Put the tomato paste over;
- Simmer two or three our;
- And Good Appetite!
